Nidup upgrading does not require high pressures, regardless of the facility’s size.

No pretreatment

Trovant‘s Nidup technology can be run on any biogas quality, without the need for any pretreatment or drying.
With a minimum methane slip, the resulting high-purity CO2 is easily recoverable for other industrial applications.

At Trovant, we offer two types

Installation and sale of upgrading plant

Trovant is the upgrading supplier for biogas producers who want to increase their product value by implementing Nidup technology and creating new sources of income in the growing biomethane market.

Trovant is responsible for the installation of the upgrading plant, its commissioning and after-sale maintenance. Thanks to its high degree of automation, it can be operated remotely, reducing staff and maintenance costs.

Consortium / SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle)

Trovant commercializes the biomethane resulting from the upgrading and provides the opportunity for biogas producers to partner with us so they can make a profit for their biogas.

Trovant makes available its NIDUP technology, operates it, and sells the biomethane stream, in collaboration with partner specialists in infrastructures and renewable energies. In short, we take care of the project financing, so that biogas producers will not bear the up-front investment costs or experience any hassles to their current business.

Biomethane‘s major advantage compared with biogas is that it offers great flexibility since it is equivalent to natural gas, which grants access to and decarbonizes difficult electrification sectors: heat-intensive industrial processes such as metallurgy or heavy mobility such as maritime transport.

Biomethane production is gaining ever more importance, since:

It reduces energy dependency on fossil fuels of foreign origin.
It is integrated directly into the natural gas grid; benefiting from the existing infrastructure and it is easily stored for mobility applications.
